NRA Range Safety Officer Course
8AM-8PM, Saturday Jan 13
CCFSA Members,

Thank you for your membership in CCFSA.  As you know CCFSA is an all volunteer organization. There are lots of volunteer opportunities where you can contribute to the large amount of work it takes to keep our club a safe, professional, and fun facility for our large membership.

If you would like to contribute to our club in the realm of safety, we have a training opportunity for you.  We will be offering NRA certified, Range Safety Officer (RSO) training on Sat Jan 13, from 8 am to 8 pm.  Charge for the course is $65, which will include NRA books, lunch and dinner for this long day.  (In other locations this course costs from $85 to $130).

If this interests you, please contact me to let me know.  I need to get a solid count and a $20 non-refundable deposit by Jan 05, in order to receive training materials from the NRA in time for the course.

Incidentally, if you are already a certified CCFSA RSO you do not need to attend the certification part of the course from 8 am to 4 pm.  The portion of the course from 4 to 8 pm is for CCFSA specific training and RSO re-certification.

Respectfully,

Darin Ashley
Chief RSO

Coming Soon

CCFSA RSO's,

Thank you for your contribution to CCFSA as an RSO.

To maintain your CCFSA RSO certification you are required to complete 4 hours of refresher training once every two years.  Your next opportunity for training is coming soon at the CCFSA range building.  If you have not recently attended, please consider this date.  There will likely be two opportunities this year. In addition, some RSOs attend more frequently than required to catch up and contribute to current safety events and planning.

Please let me know by the end of Feb if you will be able to attend this training. There is no cost for the training and an evening meal will be provided.

Respectfully,

Darin Ashley

Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) Class
Pistol Proficiency Training class

Clinton County Farmers’ and Sportsmen’s Association hosts a Concealed Carry (CCW) class typically in the Range Building.  The class satisfies the requirements of Ohio Revised Code 2923.125(G)(1) & (2) to apply for your Ohio License to Carry a Concealed Handgun. There is a range component to the class and is usually conducted “rain or shine,” so be sure to check the weather prior to class day and have appropriate attire.  If you already have a handgun you plan on carrying, bring it and a box of ammo.  (NO LIVE AMMO IN THE CLASSROOM)  If you don’t already have a handgun, don’t rush to buy one – we will have some guns on hand for use.
You can contact me at kkiphart@cinci.rr.com or by Phone:  937-218-2512.
